Fishing Knots

Going fishing?

Want to know how to tie a fishing knot?

Well there’s a simple way and a hard way.

The simple way is to learn one knot and use it until you’ve learned the basics.

The hard way is to bog yourself down with lots of different fishing knots and forget them all.

If you’ve never been fishing before then it’s best to start with one knot and stick with it until you’ve mastered it. After that you can move on to other variations that have other applications and benefits.

The Best Fishing Knot for Beginners

By far the the most widely used and easiest to tie knot for people new to fishing is the Improved Clinch Knot aka the Trilene Knot aka a Cinch Knot. With rope this knot would be referred to as a noose.

It’s widely regarded as a very secure knot that easily attaches to a hook, lure or swivel.

He moved to the Pacific Northwest and has dedicated himself to learning everything there is to know about survival and the outdoors. What he lacks in experience he makes up for in natural curiosity, enthusiasm, and good looks.
